Youth are a vital part of the Annual Conference community!

We don't want them to miss the chance to be a part of this formative experience.

Youth that would like to serve as a lay member at large to Annual Conference 2018, please fill out this form by Monday, January 8, 2018.

The cost for youth to attend Annual Conference will be $245.00 (cost of meals Wednesday - Saturday). The Young People’s Ministry Annual Conference Scholarship Fund will cover all rooming costs for youth members to attend.

Annual Conference Session 2018 will be held May 31 - June 2 at the Hershey Lodge.

is a FREE youth event where young people are encouraged to think for themselves, use their creativity to explore the next steps in their faith journeys, and given tools to develop a reliable faith that can grow with them.

Over the past few years, the Young People’s Ministry has been trying to offer opportunities for teens in our Conference to be in mission with one another. We have held mission days, as well as offered many of our churches grants for mission trips. We are hoping to take another step in the mission direction by offering a small mission trip to the Henderson Settlement, June 24-30, 2018.

 

Cost: Students - $375.00    Adults - $150.00
         (Includes: travel, lodging, meals (on site), fellowship activity)

Purpose: Train student leaders in missional leadership.

Available Spaces: 20 Youth, 7 Adults

The Young People's Ministry Council will accept grants for the 2018 funding year April 1 - October 31, 2017. 

 

Guidelines

All applications receive prayerful consideration. Priority is given to applicants that are:

1) Youth-led
2) Creating or Expanding New or Existing Ministries
3) Racially and Ethnically inclusive
4) Produce documentation of other funding
5) UM ministries receive first consideration, followed by ecumenical and cooperative ministries, secular programs are also considered.
